Neighbourhood NZ Director Madeline Mason

Kia ora,
we are

Neighbourhood NZ

Neighbourhood was born from a place of hurt and is now a collective movement towards the light.

It is not just about helping people recover, it is also a collection for preventative change, catching people before they fall, giving them the skills, providing a community and helping to build people up.

We are working towards improving the lives of the people around us, in our communities and building peoples emotional wealth.

It is not just about helping people recover, it is also a collection for preventative change, catching people before they fall, giving them the skills, providing a community and helping to build people up.

What happens on the ground?

Our model is unconventional, there is not an organisation like us in NZ, we covering events and awareness around Mental Wellbeing, Sustainability, Sexual Violence and general staying well and being apart of a community.

Creating environments to connect people with role models and environments, starting conversations and adding wellness into our lives.

This movement is bigger than ourselves, we host events and campaigns to spark the change, the passion and the ambition and hope (and already see) the ripples of our change filtering throughout our communities and people continuing this power.

Neighbourhood NZ is an innovative and diverse non-profit centered around fostering community connection and impact through providing events, education and empowerment for individuals and the collective. Our community events and campaigns aim to bring young New Zealander’s together to give them a space to connect whilst also forming a support system for when they are in need.

Ultimately, Neighbourhood exists to encourage those around us to nurture their wellbeing by giving them tangible, interactive and creative events, resources and tools.

A part of strengthening your wellbeing can be giving generously to others, which is why we also strive to make charity work accessible and inclusive. We work year-round producing campaigns, physical and virtual events, eBook resources, exhibitions and to build relationships with other charities and sustainable NZ businesses to support our network and create value for all.
